"No You Shut Up!" Cancelled During its Fourth Season by Fushion

Comedian Paul F. Tompkins announced via Twitter and Tumblr today that his show, "No, You Shut Up!" has been cancelled only partway through its fourth season.

The show, which aired on Fusion, was a talking-head style political talk show in which Tompkins interviewed celebrities and moderated discussions between puppet characters, designed by The Jim Henson Company, that covered current events. The show had a wide range of guests, from comedians and actors like Al Madrigal, Hannibal Buress and Jack Black, to political commentators like Cenk Uygur and Reza Aslan, and featured some hilarious and creative creature designs from the famed Henson workshop.

Tompkins gave a heartfelt address on his Tumblr page, giving props to everyone on the show’s crew, from the showrunners and writers to the researchers, camera crew and puppeteers. “It has been my privilege to work alongside the people who made this show happen every week,” said Tompkins. “I am proud of the work we’ve done. The show really made me laugh!”

Disappointed fans and interested newcomers can take comfort in the fact that, at least for now, the entire series can be watched on the show’s YouTube channel. You can also check out Tompkins’s podcast, SPONTANEANATION, on iTunes and SoundCloud.
