Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog's August split sent shockwaves across the country and left us all questioning: Is love dead?
In a new photo (right), the Muppets costars, who were together for 40 years, are seen calling it quits during what appears to be a brutal argument. Clad in one of her usual high-fashion ensembles, Miss Piggy looks shocked as she and Kermit have a heated conversation. The former longtime loves are putting on a happy face while continuing to work together on the swine fashionista's talk show 'Up Late with Miss Piggy', but things are likely to hit a sour note as Kermit has already moved on with another lady.
Though the 60-year-old was photographed looking cozy with Denise, a head of marketing at ABC, on Tuesday, he tweeted that he's playing the field. he pair has been working together on the broadcasting company's docuseries "The Muppets" – a show that will cover the behind-the-scenes action of 'Up Late'.
"She's always stopping by the set of Up Late," a source told PEOPLE of Denise. "He calls her his girlfriend." But Kermit denied things are that serious. "It is true that I am dating again," he tweeted. "However, at this time no one woman – pig or otherwise – is my official 'new girlfriend.' We are simply close friends."
