LELAND — Muppet fans and literary aficionados alike will be in for a treat on Thursday when Leland will host a book signing for acclaimed author Brian Jay Jones, who will be signing copies of his new book “Jim Henson — The Biography” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Leland Progress office, 119 E. Third St.
Jones’ first biography, “Washington Irving: An American Original” won the St. Nicolas Society of New York’s Medal for Literary Excellence in 2008.
