Robbie Williams Swings Out With The Muppets in BBC Special

Robbie Williams fulfilled a life-long ambition when he teamed up with The Muppets at the London Palladium for a BBC special.

The singer sang a romantic version of Somethin' Stupid with porcine megastar Miss Piggy during a one-off concert to celebrate his second swing album, Swings Both Ways.

Meanwhile Kermit, Gonzo and even the notoriously hard to please Waldorf and Statler seemed to be enjoying themselves in the star-studded audience.

The all-singing, all-dancing show, which Robbie described as 'an amazing evening in my life', will screen on BBC1 on Friday, December 6, and will also be released as an extended DVD, One Night at the Palladium DVD, on December 9.

It sees Robbie backed by a 30-piece orchestra as he duets with Rufus Wainwright on the title track from the album and he also sings with Lily Allen and his dad Pete Conway and performs classics such as Puttin' On The Ritz and Mr Bojangles, along with new tracks including Go Gentle, which he wrote for his 14-month-old daughter Teddy.
