Making its public debut at the 111th Annual International Toy Fair in New York City is the new Muppets collection by Madame Alexander in support of the new film, Muppets Most Wanted (March 21, 2014).
This represents the first time in several years that Madame Alexander has produced anything Muppets related and the first time they have produced hand puppets based on the property.
The collection consists of both 10″ plush doll and hand puppet forms of Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Animal and Miss Piggy with the latter two clad in outfits taken directly from the film (Miss Piggy has (unsurprisingly) over 20 wardrobe changes in the film).
The fabric used in the samples on display were incredibly soft to the touch, even Fozzie, making them appropriate for ages four and up. The hand puppets seemed large enough to easily accommodate an adult-sized hand.
The Muppets Most Wanted collection by Madame Alexander will be available in September 2014 in conjunction with the blu-ray release of the film. Approximate retail will be $24.99 for the hand puppets and $19.99 for the plush dolls.
They will be available wherever Madame Alexander dolls are sold as well as on the company’s website.
