'Muppets Most Wanted' Is A Terrific Muppet Movie.
Muppets Most Wanted is above all an incredibly entertaining comic adventure. It is the very definition of all-ages entertainment, with belly laughs for young and old. It may not be a profound work of art, but Muppets Most Wanted is a genuinely hilarious comic sequel. - Scott Mendelson

Let’s get it out of the way right at the top: This felt-and-fur follow-up isn’t as inspired as 2011’s giddy Muppets relaunch. The new adventure finds our heroes being conned by a villainous manager (Ricky Gervais) and Kermit getting sent to a Siberian gulag and replaced by an evil look-alike. The songs are infectious, but the rest (despite turns by Tina Fey and Ty Burrell) lacks some of the gang’s usual feel-good joy. —Chris Nashawaty

Picking up precisely from where 2011's The Muppets left off, James Bobin's even funnier Muppets Most Wanted thankfully focuses more on the original characters.
It's also refreshing to see actual objects on screen; there's some trickery here and there, but the majority of Muppets Most Wanted is real puppets interacting with real people in front of cameras, and that's far more satisfying than, say, CGI representations of plastic bricks. - Sherilyn Connelly

Muppets Most Wanted is just what the fans ordered!
Coming in at an 112 minutes, Muppets Most Wanted is a bit long but was an absolute blast to watch. I personally enjoyed this sequel a bit more than the 2011 reboot and was geared more towards the classic Muppet crowd. There are plenty of throwbacks and inside gags that will make the die hard fans cheer, while these jokes will go over the heads of the younger audiences. I do expect that younger audiences will find this sequel less appealing to its predecessor, but just like the opening song suggests to its audience “and everybody knows the sequel is never quite as good” even though I beg to differ. - Scott Menzel, MovieManMenzel

The humour is a bit more broad, and along with some of its great musical numbers, feels a little more old-fashioned. But this is not meant as a criticism, on the contrary, Muppets Most Wanted is hilarious and thoroughly entertaining, valiantly carrying the nostalgia from the original tv series.

Muppets Most Wanted embraces its absurdity and fearlessly allows its contrivances to shine—always playing for laughs above plausibility and never taking itself seriously.
I was trepidatious at first, but it appears Disney has things well under control. - Jared Mobarak
