How to Be a Puppeteer with Master Puppeteer Noel MacNeal

Want to try your "hand" at being a Puppeteer? Emmy nominated Puppeteer Noel MacNeal (of Disney's Bear in the Big Blue House and PBS' Sesame Street) will conduct a 30 minute "puppeteering" workshop (assisted by professional Puppet Builder and Puppeteer James Wojtal Jr.) for New York Comic Con Guests, showing the lip-sync and manipulation techniques (and other "secrets") used by professional Puppeteers (including his colleagues, The Muppets) with various puppets for participants to try.

Emmy nominated Puppeteer Noel MacNeal (of Disney's Bear in the Big Blue House and PBS' Sesame Street) is the Author of the books "10 Minute Puppets" and "BOX." He will conduct puppet-making workshops for NYCC Guests, showing them how easy it is to make a puppet from anything. Based on his books, Guests will choose which type of simple (original designed for NYCC) paper puppet they'd like to make, in no time flat.

Join us for a screening of Sesame Street spoofs including “Numeric Con” (a parody of Comic Con). Then explore the ways pop culture has played a vital role throughout the show’s 45 year history during a Panel discussion with the Sesame Street Muppets and Performers.
