BREAKING NEWS! ABC's "The Muppets" Picked Up for the 2015-2016 Season

Breaking News: ABC has picked up the "The Muppets" for the 2015-2016 season. No day or time has been announced yet. This will be released on May 12th when their FULL schedule is released.

It’s time to play the music. It’s time to light the lights. And it’s time for a grown-up reboot of The Muppet Show to get a series order at ABC! 

 The Muppets will officially return to prime time with a contemporary, documentary-style show that, for the first time ever, will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires—a more adult Muppet show, for kids of all ages. 

 The recent pilot presentation, we’re told, received a standing ovation when it screened for ABC executives a couple weeks ago. Bill Prady and Bob Kushell are co-writers and executive producers alongside Randall Einhorn and Bill Barretta.
