ABC's Midseason Schedule Announced: "The Muppets" Returns Sooner Than Anticipated

ABC's "The Muppets" will return to ABC's schedule for their 'Winter Premiere' on Tuesday, February 2nd at 8PM ET/PT paired once again with the 'Winter Premiere' of "Fresh Off the Boat" at 8:30PM ET/PT.

As of Tuesday, March 8th, "Fresh Off the Boat" will move into "The Muppets" 8PM ET/PT timeslot followed by the midseason series "The Real O'Neals" at 8:30PM ET/PT. Will "The Muppets" have aired all 16 episodes at this point? That is still something that needs some clarification.   

Originally, many were reporting that after ABC had aired episode #10 of "The Muppets", it would disappear from their schedule, be 're-tooled' and return to ABC's schedule sometime in the Spring of 2016 for the final 6 episodes.

We will just have to wait and see now just how many episodes of "The Muppets" ABC is going to air before their break from the schedule.

As reported back on November 11th, Kristin Newman was hired as "The Muppets" new showrunner replacing the exiting Bob Kushell. 

"The Muppets" will have finished shooting 12 episodes when the cast and crew's Christmas Break begins on December 19th. They are then expected back after the New Year to finish shooting the final 4 episodes - which should take them into February to complete.
