At 8:00PM against increased competition from NBC's "The Voice" and CBS' top-rated "NCIS," ABC freshman "The Muppets" beat its freshman comedy competition on FOX by 20% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/4 vs. 1.0/3 for "Grandfathered"). "The Muppets" was up 13% week to week with Teens 12-17 to match a best-since-debut rating - since 9/22/15. Live + 3 for Last Week: ABC's "The Muppets" spiked +43% (+0.6 rating points) over its L+SD rating among Adults 18-49, marking the show's biggest percentage lift to date.
The new show grew to a 2.0 Adult 18-49 rating and was up 2-tenths week to week in L+3 Adult 18-49 rating (2.0 vs. 1.8). Including TV Playback (Most Current season-to-date ratings through 7 weeks), "The Muppets" has improved its slot for ABC by 1 full rating point in Adults 18-49 (+71% - 2.4/8 vs. 1.4/5).
