Build a new creature that would belong in the world of The Dark Crystal, and upload your submission for a chance to win a trip to New York City to attend a screening of The Dark Crystal at "Puppets on Film" opening night at BAMcinematek on October 24, 2014, including a party with the chance to meet Brian Froud, Wendy Froud, Cheryl Henson, and the winning author of the Author Quest Challenge.
Your submission should be captured from all sides in hi-res photographs that show the details of your work. Submissions will also include a character biography, telling us the brief back story and characteristics of your creature. This creature can be a variation of an existing species (Skeksis, Mystic, Podling, etc.) or can be a brand new creature – all ideas are welcome, as long as they feel true to the world of The Dark Crystal. We are only interested in built creatures (ie. sculpture, maquette, puppet) – no drawings, paintings or digital models please.
Judges will be Brian Froud, Wendy Froud, Cheryl Henson and Pete Brook
